The one I don’t understand is people who don’t run year round. I live in Connecticut, and we get some pretty miserable weather. But I run every month of the year. It sucks, but if I stopped running routinely, I may never start again. Which is good! Hooray for routines!
Also I only bought one pair of shoes in 2011. Who needs more than three pairs of running shoes a year? Imagine all that waste!

Very cool. It’s the average age that amazes me, although it’s not surprising when you go to a run and see those ages represented so well. Especially the women. There are usually more chicks in the 30-40 group than any other, including the guys. I never knew when I started running last year that it was such a thing!
Hey Laura! I didn’t know you had a blog! I read this first entry, but then I need to catch up! I think the name Hank is cute too. We watch the comedy Corner Gas (also hilarious, sarcastic comedy based out of Saskatchewan, jokes about small town life). Anyway, one character’s name is Hank.
The part about the shoes here is based on mileage……so if you are running a lot, you should probably be buying more than one pair of shoes a year. I never keep track & wear mine way past when I am probably suppose to.
